Sisi, S. African President discuss ties in the of continental issues

All Round View (Peshawar): President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Friday received a phone call from his South African counterpart Cyril Ramaphosa to discuss bilateral ties and some African issues.

The two also discuss means of boosting economic and development cooperation among African countries, according to Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.

The South African leader said that he is keen on boosting bilateral cooperation with Egypt, for the benefit of the two countries’ peoples, as well as supporting joint African action to build a better future for African peoples, the spokesman added.

On his part, President Sisi said that Egypt looks forward to fostering its relations with South Africa in different fields, especially in light of the distinguished bonds between Cairo and Pretoria.

President Sisi called for making the best use of the great potential enjoyed by the two countries, intending to activate bilateral cooperation frameworks in various sectors, which in turn could contribute to attaining joint interests and pushing forward the process of development in Africa.
