Gyms in KL, Selangor, Putrajaya and other CMCO to reopen on 19 October.

All Round View (Peshawar):- Senior minister of security cluster, Malaysia Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced today that gyms that are located in areas put under CMCO will resume operations from 19 October.

However strict protocols must be applied so to prevent the spread of the virus.

He said in his security and COVID-19 regulation compliance briefing that “After looking into the matter, the special meeting agreed to allow gyms to operate normally.

“However it must abide by tight standard operating procedures, like that issued during the initial CMCO,”

He advised that training in these gyms should be done solo rather than in groups and that a distance should be maintained while exercising. He also said that football grounds and futsal centres will be open soon but only for training purposes.

He said that participation in these areas is limited to only 10 people. Youth and sports ministry will announce the further details soon, he said

Last week the government announced that only non-contact sports and outdoor sports are allowed in the CMCO period.
