Four deaths and 829 new Covid-19 cases in Malaysia.

All Round View (Peshawar):- Today Malaysia recorded new daily a high number of cases, 829, beating the previous 691 cases that were recorded on October 6.

All of today’s cases were from the local transmission, said by Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

Of today’s 829 cases 745 were local Malaysians and 124 were foreigners, the new addition of cases brings the total number of active cases to 6886.

In addition, four coronavirus deaths were also recorded.

Sabah once again topped the ladder, with 451 new cases and Penang came second in the table as a record high in new cases was recorded in the city at 181, while Selangor came third in the table with a tally of 159.

The remaining 70 were recorded in other parts of the state with 38 in Kedah, 15 from Kuala Lumpur, Swarak and Perak each with 4, Terangannu with 3, Johar and Putrajaya with two each and one each in Negri Sembilan and Melaka.

Today 91 covid-19 patients were treated in ICU with 30 to be intubated, said by Dr Hisham Abdullah.

All four deaths were recorded in Sabah.

The two of the four people died today were Malaysian men, ageing 78 and 88 respectively and had preexisting health conditions like high blood pressure and kidney problem.

One of the deceased was a Malaysian lady of age 71 while the fourth one was a foreign man of age 56.
